“Our men’s tennis team competes in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) as a member of the NCAA Division III. Our team philosophy for our men’s tennis program is geared towards the commitment to our players on the court and, most importantly, in the classroom.”

Rob Disch was named the Interim Head Men’s Tennis Coach in January of 2018. In April of 2018, he was named the head coach for the men’s and women’s programs.

In his first season with the men’s progam, Disch was selected by his peers to receive Coach of the Year honors. He led his squad to an 11-4 overall record, including a 4-1 mark in conference action. Thomas’ .733 winning percentage is the highest in programs history, while tying for the most wins at 11. Nine of the team’s 11 victories were by a perfect 9-0 score, including a win-streak of seven from March 29 to April 15.

Disch brings 20 years of coaching at the high school level to the Terrier programs. Most recently he has served as the Boys’ Varsity Tennis Coach at Waterville High School since 2015. Prior to coaching at Waterville, Disch was at the helm of the Gardiner High School Boys’ Varsity team for 17 seasons.

Disch graduated from Plymouth State University, where he was a four-year member of the men’s tennis team, in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science degree in health, physical education, and recreation.
